one of the mister's favourite things on earth is a good christmas market and once this opened in south bank, we were on the first bus across the river. it was atmospheric but overpriced, as they are, and i much prefer the continental christmas markets. last winter, we visited the markets in milan, verona, innsbruck, salzburg, berlin and around. by which time i was all market-ed out and morphed into the grinch. in fact, i was resisting this christmas market until i realised we wouldn't be driving. which meant i -could- very well get the front seat on the double decker. so i obliged.
it was funny though! after eating our way through (mulled wine, bratwurst, currywurst, churros con chocolate, popcorn prawns...) we stopped at eat. for more food. and realised how expensive the market food was because eat. became cheap relative to it. lesson learnt!
