the lovely family we visited in geneva a couple of weekends ago was in london this weekend (yay!) and we were thrilled at the chance to meet up so soon. happily played tour guide and went walking by the thames - not realising the last time i was at the tower of london was in winter 2007 with the mister and navin, our good friend. time flies! back then, dinner was discounted, end-of-the-day cake from the harrods food hall - split three ways and eaten in the cold on a park bench. good times!
