turned my paper in a few days early, have one last class tomorrow and then it's off to meet the folks (again!)
been playing christmas carols non stop over spotify, buble's album is perfect for the season, and been in a happy state of frantic packing. it's been a good semester, an even better year, and i love that it's almost home free. with just an hour long seminar between me and the christmas holidays, this state of delicious anticipation is almost driving me delirious. been calming myself with hot chocolate and made sure i polished off all the food in the fridge. so much so i even feel teensy bit green now :/ tidied my room, going to switch off everything tomorrow and i'm away for the month. woot!
this holiday is going to be an awesome mix of new places (lake como, parma, salzburg, hella in south iceland) and old (milan, verona, innsbruck, berlin, reykjavik). the manfriend and i have been to berlin separately while on our respective years on exchange so i'm looking forward to revisiting one of our individually favourite cities with him. we were last in verona four christmases ago as students on a budget and we're staying at the same place this time round. some things have changed (he's no longer a struggling student while i unfortunately still am and will be for a few years yet!) while others (like our choice of travel buddy) haven't. hopefully the b&b is as fabulous (teehee!) as we remember it. run by two wonderfully flamboyant gentlemen, it was special all right...
can't wait to see family tomorrow, and the manfriend on friday. and at the same time, the sooner it comes, the sooner it'll pass and i can't anticipate it any more :( but there is plenty ahead next year, so i guess that's not too shabby :)
