after our walk around dunstanburgh, we couldn't miss piper's pitch next to the parking lot. the signboard piqued our curiosity. after all, it's not every day you see the word auchtermuchty! turns out, it's a town in fife, scotland. unsurprisingly, "the auchtermuchty" is haggis and bacon. each already wonderful on their own, and of synergistic yumminess when combined. truth be told, i'm not the biggest fan of haggis but resistance was futile once i'd pinched a corner off the boys' and then had to get a whole serving for myself. it was that delish! auchtermuchty convert ftw ;)
