it's beginning to look

a lot like christmas!
just peeked at my time table and once i power through the 9-5 of next week, i've the following monday off then two hours of class on average the rest of that week, and monday and tuesday the week after. this brings us nicely to 14th dec where i've a one hour lecture and then it's helloooo month-long eurotrip!

meeting the folks in milan for two days, then they go home, manfriend comes up and we're continuing on to verona, salzburg and innsbruck, spending christmas in berlin, before making our way to iceland for new year's, and ending up back in london later in january. in true kiasu singaporean style, i'd booked milan dinners with the folks about two months ago, and mr. planner supreme has sorted all the flights, hotels and restaurants for his leg of the holiday. somewhere in there, i hear there's a 4x4 geared with sat nav and all ready to rumble around iceland in the deep of winter.

besides myself with excitement. less than 3 weeks to my family, exactly 3 weeks to kai and ohmyword i've minimal class for the next two and a half weeks. oh wow oh wow oh wow :) feel kinda cheated, actually. gimme more learning!

plus having worked 9am-5am once upon a time (qualifier: this happened maybe twice), i'm relishing 9am-5pm (sad as that sounds) because it's a relatively short day. have oodles and oodles of time on my hands here, hence my compelling need to do a ton of extra-curricular activity. and because it's less taxing to be a student, i find even 7 hours of sleep too much (somehow nowhere near the physical exhaustion i used to experience) and therefore have plenty of time to fritter away in delightful frivolity i.e. on the www. like now.

argh! so much energy! so much time! need. to. find. something. fruitful. to. do.

now let's just hope my room doesn't spontaneously combust while i'm gone... having already set off the fire alarm thrice (once with shower, once with hairdryer, once with quinoa burnt to crisp) i'm fast running out of housing office goodwill.
